Well my nickname and on-line personality is a complete fabrication. I modeled him after my grandfather and even used his old-fashioned name. I decided to make him an even wierder character, so I made him a person who collects things that nobody else wants. My grandfather was a preacher, but I didn't want him to be quite that straight-laced so I made him a teacher. I also wanted him to be a southerner so I made him a Tennessean. I kept some of my own charactistics, such as being a poor speller and a traveler. My grandfather loved poetry, but I changed that to drama. To bring him up to date, I made him a fan of stock-car racing, which is the fastest growing sport in America. And that is how I created Howard
