Found this link while surfing around today. I just wanted to see the various Rinkers' opinions on the fairness of the passages and questions that they used (that is, if the site works on your browsers at all)...

I thought the test was quite biased and unfair myself (but then again, I kinda expected such from slate.com...) I bombed the reading comprehension (3 out of 5 right in 50 seconds), and apparently, *most* people did just as badly, judging from the posts on Slate's message board. And, like many, I also couldn't make out half of what was being said on the speed-listening test.
