Names for vehicles

Do you know anybody who names their vehicles?
I do. My daughter and her husband name cars. Ralph, Old Blue, Humpy. Those three come to mind.
Ralph is a Ford Taurus and Old Blue and Humpy are Volkswagen bugs. They keep cars forever, probably because they seem to be part of the family when they have names. My sister used to call her car "Ford." Not "the Ford," Just plain Ford, like a first name. Okay, I'm guilty too, but I've never named a car. When I was a kid, I had a bicycle named Elmer. It was a great bicycle and my parents and sisters, would sometimes refer to it as Elmer. I suppose it fits my image as an eccentric, but I also name motorscooters. I don't usually call them by name, because most people wouldn't know which one I was referring to. In case I slip up and refer to "Dino," that's my Vespa. I bought it a day or two before Dean Martin died. It's Italian, like Dean. George is my oldest, favorite scooter. It's named for my friend, George, who had one like it when we were kids. My Cushman Highlander is Jack. I bought it from a friend named Jack. I haven't named my Eagle, yet. Or my Allstate, that I haven't seen in restored condition. It's still at the restorers place in Florida. Nor have I named the two little Honda Expresses or the Cushman RoadKing, which is still unrestored and doesn't even have an engine.
The Benelli may have to have an Italian name, but I have considered "Monty" since it was originally imported and sold by Montgomery Ward. I wonder if I should name a scooter, Elmer, in honor of the bike I bought when I was 12?
