What is the term for something created by we humans that takes on a life outside of our direct control (much like the www itself has)? > > Regards, > Tyler > > p.s. - Are there any grammarians out there who can tell me whether or not I used "we humans" correctly in that sentence? Well, Tyler, I taught a few 6th and 7th grade English classes a few decades ago, but I don't call myself a "grammarian" although I am a gramfatherian. "We humans" would be ok if it was the subject of the sentence, but with "by" right there in front of it, you need the objective "us." Gosh, I sure did sound scholarly, didn't I! Not bad for a guy who never learned to spell. -from the Twisted Mind
