Most people that I know (including me) are only familiar with the story on a basic level. I only recall one scene from an animated version or maybe a children's illustrated book of the tale: Ichabod Crane says the Headless Horseman is bunk, walks through the woods and is chased by HH. Ichabod manages to get across the covered bridge, back to safety.
