Perhaps a mechanic where other people buying or selling shares would affect the cost of a feature. The majority of the movement in the price would be caused by its popularity on the site, as before, but now people buying or selling it would also have a moderate affect on it. If equal numbers of people are buying and selling, there would be no real effect, but if everyone is buying something, it might go up even if it is losing in popularity in the site.
