I dunno, I think old trucks are pretty cool. Not having seen yours, I can't comment on it specifically, but there is something very appealing about a beat-up old truck. If I could get one cheaply, and could afford to maintain it, I'd probably be interested too.
I've had old cars ever since I started driving. In nine years I went through five cars... not a great track record. When my last one (a 1992 Saab which I still miss) died, I decided I was fed up with the unreliability and bought a brand new baby Toyota. The peace of mind is nice, but I miss having old cars. It's like buying used books... they have a sense of character and history that brand-new ones lack. I guess I just have to keep driving the Toyota till she becomes one.
