Something I don't understand.

Pardon me for taking the long way around to make my point, but I tend to ramble around on most any subject.
Our daughter-in-law is recovering from some rather serious health problems and part of her therapy is that she gets to do whatever she feels like doing. Today, she felt like having a yard sale, and she wanted us to come down and join her. So with the temperature hovering in the mid-thirties and a mean chill factor, we threw a few boxes of junk and an exercycle into the truck and took off to her house which is 50 miles away.
By the time we got there, the weather was bearable and we had a good time talking to customers and keeping track of sales.
But I don't understand why people kept wanting to buy my truck. It is 12 years old and looks it. It has 140,000 miles on it and it was a cheap model to begin with, but twice I was asked if it was for sale. Well, no, I plan to drive it the rest of my life. That could be 20 years or 20 minutes, but that's about all the truck I will ever need. Maybe some day soon my kids will come around and take my keys and tell me that I'm too old to drive. Maybe then it will be for sale, but not yet.
Many of my friends have already timed out on driving, and none of them are too happy about it, but that's life.
Having already rambled past my point, I am still wondering what in the heck keeps attracting people to that old truck?
Oh. The yard sale. We sold $19.75 worth of stuff and our daughter-in-law sold many, many times more than that. We had fun. Howard
