EFSM - Camera

Okay, I im pretty close to the end of Saint MAry's, but i still have to finish the English techer fight, get all 3 chemistry reagants, and get my bag out of class. This is my second playthrough, but i can't remember anything past thsi point. I know that i have to use the smock to get the camera to get evidence of the fight, but every time i try to wear it in the fashion show, it tells me that i can't wear it because im not painting. Any hints on what i have to do before i wear it?
