Thanks! I've gotten the focus stone and am now in Llagimlynn. The problem: I lost the crate in the basement of the shack there, and the stableboy grabbed the hammer back. Is there a way I can get the crate again? (I also gave my bucket to the tavernkeeper and lost a bronze coin to the balloon seller).
