I'd love some prayer. posted by LaZorra on Sunday, May 6, 2007, at 13:10:21:

She thinks she might have cancer. Let me rephrase that: She's scared to death she might have cancer. That's what her mom died from. She always has abdominal pain, and after years of trying to lose weight and being only marginally successful (not that she was really overweight to begin with), she's suddenly losing weight at an incredible rate. She's gone from a size 8 to a size 6 and almost a size 4 in like two months without varying her diet at all and without really exercising. > > The doctors are moving at a pace slightly slower than glacial. They can't find anything from the tests they've done, and they just keep referring her to other doctors. They keep delaying tests ("Try this first, and if that doesn't work, THEN we'll test you"). It's incredibly frustrating. > > We're all kind of scared. Except for Mom, who's really scared. If you all could send a little prayer this way, it would really help. > > La"Thanks, guys. You're the greatest"Zorra
Waiting for a diagnosis is the worst. Your mind creates worst-case senarios, especially when there's cause such as family history. Worrying zaps your energy and doesn't change anything, but if you try not to worry, then you start worrying about worrying!
I will remember your family in prayer, asking God to grant the doctors wisdom (and a kick in the pants to speed them on their way), comfort not only for your mom but your family too, and the blessing of a speedy recovery whatever the medical problem turns out to be. Take care and keep us updated!
