got pretty far but am now stuck

earthworm sample
eraser
fire map
glass pane
glue stick
key
lighter
mirror
"Special item" (and pretty "finger-ends" ;P)
item to remove effects of "special item"
photos
rust eater
scalpel
screwdriver
screws
shirt
shoes
soldering iron
time machine
wire
wrench
need to get backpack
really need "dead organic matter" to finish one part
need to know how to sharpen scalpel (no cryptic clues please, I've tried everything!)
what do you do w/ shirt
what are shoes for?
why does nothing make sense anymore?!?!?!?!
