There is no such thing as too many questions. You just have to find the person who is willing to answer them all (or, if they don't know the answers, to explore the possibilities raised by the question with you). ;)

But seriously, though. I was kind of shocked to read that. I've always thought that a person with lots of questions is the ideal student -- curious, interested in learning, wanting to know more. I hope that you haven't lost that tendency too much since fifth grade. Almost every college professor I've met absolutely loves it when a student asks questions.

Well, is an "entirely different" route necessarily a BAD route? The great thing about college is that you learn and grow. You go in directions that you never would have expected yourself to go in. And that's a wonderful and exciting (albeit sometimes kind of scary) thing. I went in to college thinking that if I ended up as an English major (it was between English and engineering) I would go into book publishing and maybe write on the side. Now I'm almost totally disinterested in publishing, and gearing up for a career as a librarian. Along the way I seriously considered teaching and architecture. I had no clue I'd end up going in the direction that I'm going now. But I'm happy with it. The unexpected only has to be bad if you aren't willing to go with it and see what interesting places it takes you to.
