First of all, sympathies from a fellow sufferer in the lands of college applications. I'm only applying to 4 private colleges so I can only imagine the stress you're going through right now.

Secondly, just write essays that you're happy with and don't worry too much about how the admissions office will view them. Depending on the school, the content of the essays don't matter as much as the style and format. Also, don't overly obssess about getting each essay done perfectly. Get it into a form that you like, have somebody you trust read over it and make edits, then make your own final edits and send it off.
