I think it might be offensive to me to see rich people waste money. But it's their money. Maybe one of them will send me a large sum to help me make up my mind about how offensive it is. I could stand a little offensiveness if it allowed me to buy a nice 1939 Ford, Lincoln, or Mercury coupe with the original flathead V8. Maybe they could offend me a little more so that I could build it a special garage.

But seriously, I think a $100 burger is more offensive than, for example, a $4000 motor scooter. The scooter is going to be with you for a while. It might be a useful investment for many years. Even poor people in Indonesia would probably agree with that.
