Right. I use that same logic to defend NASA. People say we shouldn't spend all that money on satellites, space probes, and missions to the moon or Mars. But I say that the money isn't shot to the moon. It's spent here on earth and fuels the economy.

This morning there was a report on TV news about Wall Street Christmas bonuses. Stock brokers were going out and spending the money making auto dealers rich. But if brokers make that money, somebody else lost it. I think it may be the poor suckers who think they can make money day trading on the internet. Amateurs coming up against professionals always loose.

That worries me a little.
