Saving gas just got easier for people who work in Nashville but live in another county. Commuter train service begins today with a train that runs into Nashville from Lebanon, which is in Wilson County. Plans are to add more trains coming in from other directions.
Like other fast-growing cities, Nashville has traffic problems. Maybe the trains will help.
I'm in Rutherford County right now, where Murfreesboro is spreading toward Nashville in Davidson County. I can see the need for rail service here. I-24 and US 41 are often clogged with commuter traffic heading into Nashville. I expect to see the new rail service grow in several directions. Howard
