After just four TV movies, the producers of Hercules: The Legendary Journeys inexplicably decided the time was right for a clip show episode. Although this installment has its own story, almost half the running time consists of flashbacks to the previous movies. If Francois Truffaut couldn't quite make that idea work in Love On the Run, what chance did they have here?
Without all the flashbacks, there would be enough original material left for an uninspired but inoffensive episode of the television show, which debuted shortly after this movie aired.
