Yeah, but you didn't follow the hint you were last given.

I can't see anything that would prevent you from doing so, and you haven't mentioned whether or not you've tried to go to her room after dinner. Doing so is the ONLY WAY to progress at this point.

Without your reward from the lady, you'll go around in circles for eternity and never ever ever ever get into the top floor of the Lucky Strike saloon.
