help with rust eater and code -- efsm

okay, i know that i need to finish the computer game before i can get the rust eater, and i know that i need to figure out the code to win the game, but neither i nor my character can figure it out. my inventory is:
beaker, blue paint, bottle cap, chain, chalk, earthworm sample, eraser, glue stick, hot wiring instructions, lighter, mirror, photos of a fashon show, screwdriver, shirt, shoes, soldering iron, wire, wrench.
i have done everything except the computer game, gotten my bag, and actually gotten out. hints will be greatly appreciated. thanks!
