Heh. I was struck by how many seemingly minor things got brushed out. I knew the "no pore" look was achieved through retouching the photo, and it has always been obvious to me that women with unnatural looking eye colors in magazines are either wearing contacts or the photo was retouched (now I see it's more likely the photo was retouched.) But I really had no idea they took women's collar bones out of pictures, and their muscle lines, and really *any* lines they might have on their body at all.

What really struck me is that the two men that are in those pictures hardly got retouched at all. The one guy who is posing with the woman, the only thing I can tell that he did is enhance his skin tone and slightly enhance the muscle tone of his upper chest and shoulders, mostly by manipulating light and shadows. The woman got made to look five years younger, had her slight tan line removed, had a slight wrinkle in her skin (it may even just be a shadow) removed, and inexplicably had her pants pulled up to cover her butt crack.

The guy posing by himself had more extensive stuff done, but still, not nearly as much as most of the women. But he did have the crease lines you mention on his abdomen removed. :-)
