The thing I will remember most about him was when Gahalyn decided she was going to visit this country in March 2002, and there was convened a RinkUKnion, attended by myself and wintermute and Matthew and the lady of honour and Beasty. We were just finishing a stop at a Tesco's on Oxford Street to buy sweeties, and he came barrelling out of the doors, stopped dead, and declared "A rock!" in a manner not unlike King Arthur declaring that a duck was required for Bedevere's witch test in The Holy Grail. He pointed, and we discovered that he had apparently confused a rock with a stone bench, not unlike many of those that line that part of Oxford Street.

The man continued to insist that it was a rock, and we eventually worked out his logic: it was there, it was made of granite, granite is a rock, therefore that is a rock. We were completely unable to deny his impicklable logic at the time, and I dare anyone to deny it now. With this barrier overcome, his motion that we should climb on it and imitate Sam's famous rock picture from RU II was gladly agreed by all present, and that picture is still easily accessible today.

Therefore, I plan to go to Oxford Street, locate the rock in question, and celebrate his life in some way that will not get me arrested, before retiring to a suitable local public house to raise a glass or two to his memory.
