Reminds me of the time I decided to wash the car. I always do that every spring, whether it needs it or not. Anyway, the weather had been cold but that morning was like today; sunny and warm. I couldn't find the nozzle, but I hooked up the hose and turned on the water. Nothing happened for about half a minute and then I got a bucket full of pencil-sized ice cubes about two inches long. It was more ice than water.
Actually, now that I think about it, I'm still using that hose. I guess a hose can expand enough to withstand freezing. But you can have problems if you leave it attached to the faucet all winter with water in it. The faucet might be damaged.
Well, I gotta go wash the car. Howard
