No way -- that was definitely a "keep your opinions to yourself" kind of remark. I'm not sure your interpretation makes much sense in context. In general, though, it's usually a mistake to think any of the characters in "Lost" will deal with any kind of emotional moment in any way other than lashing out at each other with words, fists, or both.
