I agree. But some of the smartest people I know are both teachers and parents, so I am not surprised.

I don't include myself. My own kids are good parents, probably because they learned from me how not to do it. I enjoyed teaching and parenting most of the time, but there were parts of it that make me sure that I would not want to try either again. Life is easier now.
