TOA bus- help please

Is there a way to lose at this game? I've used my gas canister but now all of the windows on the bus are open. When I examine the area, the message says that perhaps the canister worked but now I'll never know. And when I try to jump down on it from the overpass, the game tells me its too far. Help!
