I can't even top some the true stories in this thread. My class was 140, but I have to tell the story about Van, a childhood friend of my wife and her brother. Van died just a few weeks ago. I think he was 67.

Van graduated from Auburn High School a small school in a small Tennessee town. There were nine in his graduation class. Remember that number. It's important later in this story.

Van never went to college, but he did quite well in business. The company he worked for sent him to a meeting that involved a lot of business leaders. At the beginning of the meeting, each of those present got up and told their name, their position, and where they went to school.

Van sat there listening to words like "Harvard,"Princeton," "Rutgers," and "Columbia." When it came his turn, he got up and told his name, his position in his company, and then said, "Auburn," and sat down.

A few minutes later, the guy from Harvard leaned over and asked Van where he graduated in his class at Auburn, and he replied, "Ninth."
