scenic highways

While the rest of the world is thinking about the Super Bowl, Oscars, Robo Pets, and the Olympics, I seem to have my mind on scenic highways. I've driven a lot of them, but my favorite is probably the crooked little Road to Hana. That's on Maui. Second place goes to The Overseas Highway to Key West.
After that, in no particular order, I like Highway 1 from Morro Bay California to Big Sur, and the road to the tip of Cape Cod. Also the Outer Banks, and the coast of Oregon. There seems to be a pattern here, but I also like some inland highways. The Cades Cove loop in the Great Smoky Mountains is near the top, as is the Natchez Trace Parkway. Also hard to beat is the Tamiami Trail west of Miami through the 'glades.
In my native Kentucky, there are lots of little narrow roads winding through the Bluegrass near Lexington. Almost any of them will do.
Did I mention any of your favorites? Howard
