Being the neighborhood eccentric is not easy. But it helps if you are, shall we say, just a little different.

For example, I like to look at other peoples vacation pictures. I'm impatiently waiting to see LaZorra's Hiwaiian pictures. I also like to see pictures of other people's grandkids.

I enjoy such diverse things as stage plays and stock car races. I even go to tourist attractions that are close to home. How strange is that? And I like cottage cheese on my salad or slaw.

I know it's unusual these days, but I have been married to the same woman for 50 years. You might say it's a stable marriage. Some people think that means we were married in a barn. Acturally it was a funeral home, which you must admit, is a little different.

Another strange thing about me is that since I got diabetes, my health has improved.

I think automobiles have gotten progressively uglier over the last 40 or 50 years.

And you thought the only strange thing about me was riding a motor scooter?
