This post was fascinating to me. Like Dave, I've always wondered why people want fish as pets. I think I'm even more confused by lizards and guinea pigs, because at least (some) fish look pretty, but so does a painting on the wall.

But, it turns out the reasoning is exactly one of the points I was making about dogs and robodogs? I should have thought of that.
