Fed the bunny a carrot? Good. He owes you one, and will pay you back in your greatest hour of need... you may need to buy him a little time to get there, though.

Um, yeah, forget about the cat, I think the wood sprite's effectively trapping you in the forest.
First, notice how he reacts to certain actions of yours? Might want to make sure he's distracted before you strike.
