Goldeneye was the defining element to 007. Do you think people would have accepted Die another Day after eight years of delay for a bond movie. No. it would have been an action movie. Not a Bond movie. Pierce Brosnan was a fantastic James Bond 007 but before he was resigned from the role I thought he looked old in Die another Day. Daniel craig although to sur eof himself and no where near enough charm as Pierce will be a grittier and darker 007.
I will probably dislike Casino Royale as I did Licence to Kill. But sacrafices ahve to be made. to allow for non stop action bond movies to continue (Moonraker, A view to a kill, Tomorrow Never Dies and Die Another Day) Bond must be taken back to basics sometimes. The 22nd Bond film with daniel after Casino Royale you will see a more action packed 007 cinematic experience.
