I go sock, sock, shoe, shoe. But sometimes I can't find a matching sock right away, and then it's sock, shoe, sock, shoe.
Something totally unrelated: When I was little, my favorite show was Mr. Rogers. I thought he was my grandpa, I loved him so much. Anyway, the one part of the show where I had to cover my eyes with my hands was where he put his slippers one. He always put them on with folds in his socks, and it drove me insane. How does one put on slippers over socks that are not lying flat against the skin? Eeek! It still gives me the willies, and that was almost 20 years ago. I'm crazy, I think.
