As near as I can remember, pinhole cameras were mostly science projects.

Kodak made Brownie cameras with a fixed focus lens for more than half a century. I think I still have a Brownie Hawkeye around here somewhere. Most famlies have albums of B&W snapshots taken with Brownies. They were cheap but reliable, and without them the 20th century would not have been nearly as well documented. This morning, Dec. 25, there is probably somebody somewhere taking pictures with a Brownie. Eight pictures to a roll of film, and yes, you could get color film to fit a Brownie.

I worry about the future of antique cameras. Film is already getting hard to find in some sizes.
