It would, yes, but the fact is the data for whether someone found the area or not just doesn't exist. I have no record of who found it and who didn't. So if I implemented a system like this, it would only work for people who solved the game after that point. That's certainly doable, but incompleteness bothers me, and missing secret area data for the first years of the games release just didn't sit well with me. Ah, well.
