Escape from St. Mary's

I have the following items in my inventory: blue paint, bottle, bottle cap, CD player, chain, chalk, chart, cheese, demerit, eraser, glasses, glue stick, grass, mirror, mop-head, Mrs. Pinto's CD, Perma-Tie, scalpel, soldering iron, wire, and wrench.

I found the physics lab, and I got the fingerprints for Mrs. Laurente.

I haven't gotten any of the items for Mrs. Desai yet.

I know that the physics lab people definitely don't want a certain item I brought back from the past.

Perhaps someone can give me a couple of hints to help me get unstuck. I know there's some more items I need, but I'm clueless as to how I'm to go about getting them. Thanks in advance to anyone who can help me.
