Well, of course, that's where you're wrong. It's *not* worth picking up a penny off the ground, ergo, cashing a one-cent check isn't worth it either. Although I'd probably do it just for the entertainment value myself.

But I wonder if you got ripped off? It's entirely possible the paper and ink the check was made of was actually worth more than a penny. I have a feeling you might have gotten ripped off getting only once cent for it.
