I went to my first hockey game the other night. It was fun, even though the home team lost 2-1. I wondered if there would be any fights, and sure enough, 20 seconds into the first period tow guys started grappling. My friend Whitney stood up and shouted "Kill him!". Whitney is the calmest guy I have ever met, so this made me laugh. They also had lots of different chants during the night, the most common was "Ref you Suck!". And since we are the Shreveport-Bossier Mudbugs (crawfish), whenever we scored people threw little rubber mudbugs onto the ice. Surreal.
All in all, it was neat, and I'll probably go again soon. I just have to brush up on my chants.
