I have a proposition for robbak and zK.
I'm willing to download anything you like and run it on a safe environment (yes, even spyware), where I can then monitor what exactly it does. One exception: I won't actually be paying to buy anything, but most of these come with demo versions anyway.
This isn't stupidity talking; I'm using a virtual machine, and the way it's set up, along with the host configuration, means that it literally cannot affect any other machine on my network. I've used it before to run viruses and spyware (yeah, I know, two completely different things) before, to see how they work. I'm fascinated by such things, and there's no lasting damage at all as it's a piece of cake to revert to a known-good configuration.
So, robbak and zK, please give me any links you find from RinkWorks ads that you feel would be spyware. I'll then check them out and let you know what exactly it does, if thtere's a free version available.
