The barn fight is a ways down the road. You have lots more to do. Don't worry, you'll be able to get to it in time.

As for the old lady, she's a lot more talkative with a little alcohol in her. Express enough interest in her work and you'll find out a LOT about the criminal activities in the area. Once you've gotten some info and an important item from her, check with someone else you've helped out in Lucky Strike to see how reliable she is.
