I participated last year, and I "won," but I don't feel like I won because even though I made it to 50,000, my novel is far from finished.

I've probably added less than 5000 words to it since last November. Which I guess proves that NaNo works. If only we were allowed under the rules to continue last year's beginning.

I decided not to do it again this year, mainly because I can't bring myself to start something new when I have an old project that remains unfinished. Also, I'm pretty sure that if I did enter this year, I wouldn't have time to see it to completion.
