Outlaws bar fight

I'm in the middle of the bar fight with the poker cheat. I
already managed to get the spittoon, but now I'm stuck.
I'm trying all kinds of combinations, like elbowing in the
ribs, biting, but other than those two things I find that
nothing else does anything (including trying to hit him with
the spittoon). Can anyone give me some
pointers? Thanks.

At the moment I have:

11 dollars
matches
wood
altar cloth
hat pin
feather
playing cards
beer
cabbage
spittoon
