slightly excited

Please allow me to be slightly excited. I have not added to my collection is a couple of years, but this weekend I found and bought a 1982 Honda Passport. All of my other scooters are from 1947 to 1974. The Passport won't even qualify for a Tennessee antique license until 2007.

It doesn't run yet, but the problem is in the fuel system, which is not uncommon for old scooters that have been stored for a time.

There are a few models of Honda that appeal to collectors, and the Passport is one of them. You will see one attached to the back of a motor home from time to time. Small machines like that are very handy around a state park or campground.

I will have to learn to ride this one. It has a "semi-automatic 3-speed" with a foot operated rocker shift petal on the left side. Unlike my 1966, Benelli, it has a neutral light so you don't get lost looking for a specific gear.

I expect to spend the winter on this and other scooters and in the spring, maybe I will emerge from my cocoon with some nice additions to my collection.
