Faulty boosters? I only remember finding one set. You can't face down Hennus unarmed, that's why you can't get to the expressway.
Forget the ladder, you need something high-tech to get across the chasm. That's what the nerds are for. But you might not even have the blueprints yet.
Post your inventory. There are a ton of things you might have failed to do, but I can't tell without seeing your inventory. That's why the message above the "post a new message" tells you to list your inventory.
