Woot.

Impressive.

Well, okay... I read that, and similar questions as "Do you know
what year the hay baler was invented if hay baling is at all
relevant to your novel?" I confess that I don't know, off the top of
my head, how much gold actually weighs either. Though I
assume it's heavy. This is, however, the sort of thing I would
look up if I were going to have my characters cart truckloads of
gold around. I already checked with my sister on realistic
expectations for the speed/distance a typical packhorse could
manage in a day.
