Stuck big-time in FantasyQuest 1

The items listed appear to be everything needed.
After days of frustration and hours of hint reading, I am unable to access the Princess yet I can say "Hi" to her; go figure. Been through the dungeon a HUNDRED-FOLD to no avail. Alas; all is lost. My Kingdom for a really, REALLY, big clue. Ready to thrust my sword through everyone in the dungeon and my mother-in-law too; already.
