There was, at one time, a TV show that was offensive to monkeys. The name of the show was "The Monkeys," if I remember correctly, and the lead parts were played by what appeared to be some sort of humans. No self-respecting monkey would have dared to speak the dialog, and the plots were somewhat sub-simian. It made me wonder if sometimes evolution works in two directions. Naturally, it was a hit.
