The ones I have the most difficulty with are the puzzle caches, which require you to figure out some sort of puzzle in order to get the gps coordinates to a cache, before even going to look for it. The coordinates are always in the form of N 00° 00.000 W 000° 00.000 , with the ones in this area starting with N 43 and W 071. I can't seem to figure out the puzzle to the cache I have linked to. If anybody out there can figure it out, please let me know! Somehow the clues are within that cache description, enough to help you figure out the new coordinates in the form of what I showed above (with the 0's replaced with new numbers). Make sense? Anybody? HELP! :) I usually work to find the caches closest to me and work my way out, and this one is quickly approaching being the closest. It will forever taunt me until I can work to find it. > > > > -Leen > > > > PS: I have a vague feeling that someone who is quite familiar with the works of E.E. Those are DPAIBTT JGJBFE; if you take the distance of each from the start of the alphabet, that's 4-16-1-9-2-20-20 10-7-10-2-6-7, I think. That "10-7-10" looks like the "071" for longitude, but I can't seem to figure the rest out. Any ideas, anyone? > > -Djinn
You are on the right track. I spent a couple hours going over this on AIM with Ferrick... he came up with exactly what you came up with. Thanks to him, and a little hint from the cache owner, we were able to figure it out. I will tell you how once I confirm with the cache owner that I have done it right. Thanks bunches!!!
