How do I cause the distraction? I read in the Hints Board that I need to get into the kitchen, but every time I climb up the rope and into the window, I die. I know that I need the picture for the ring and have already talked to the blacksmith.

I have: 16 Bronze Coins
Guard's Sword
Torch
Clear Focus Stone
Magnifying Glass

7 Red Gemstones
Stone of Strengthening
Wire Clippers
Piece of Trash

3 Black Gemstones
Food Rations
Key of Opening
Crate

6 Apples
Tinderbox
Portrait
Map
