Fibromyalgia / Job Update

It's been a while since I've been diagnosed with fibromyalgia, and first of all I wanted to say a huge thanks to everyone for being so supportive. I love you guys. To Ria: I can only hope that one day someone can draw as much encouragement from me as I have from you. Even before my pain, you have been such a wonderful model to me of inner strength, courage, and beauty.

I want to share something that I think is pretty amazing. Some of you may know that my old job was a contract job, which meant there was a certain date my employment ended. It was scary for a little bit because I got very overwealmed by a lot of things going on at once. But God was really working in my life, and I have a job now that is better than I could have asked for!

It is ideal in a lot of ways for me; I'd love to share a ton of details but right now I will just list some things that make the job very nice for someone with chronic pain:

--The chairs are very comfortable. Instead of leaning back, like most office chairs I've seen, I can sit upright, which is best for my back and neck.
--The front part of the desk has an adjustible height! Typing and using the mouse was something that really hurt at my last job - now, I can arrange things whereever I want!
--It's my first job that's salaried. I don't get paid by the hour and they are more flexible about times than a lot of jobs. This is nice because it can be incredibly hard for me to get to work at 8 am. Normally I've been coming in at 9, but if I had a doctor's appointment or a morning with more pain than usual, I wouldn't have to stress so much about not being at work right on time.

and, best of all:

--My boss has a friend with fibromyalgia. She understands what I might be going through. This is very, very cool.

Ga"In other news, moving back home has been really cool, and not at all what I was worried it might be. Yay for good news and God! Thanks so much for letting me rant and worry in chat and for giving me hugs and love."halyn
